Throwing in the towel
This last year has opened my eyes to the world of politics. I am both fascinated and disgusted by what I see. In particular, the hypocrisy of the republican party has become much more apparent to me.
I don't like talking about the Democrats and how bad their ideas are. They are bad. There isn't anything they do or say that should shock us. The people that vote for them are either misguided or depraved. They don't believe in the same America that I do.
What I find fascinating is how much the republican party wants to act like Democrats. We don't understand that we are loosing because we are acting like them. George Bush is a prime example - digging a giant military spending hole, bailing out the auto makers (a lot of good that has done), bailing out the banks... these are the same policies that Obama is taking - and it was Republicans that did it first!! Can't we see the hypocrisy in that when it is staring us right in the face?
How about Mc.Cain as the nominee? If I was a Democrat, that is who I would have wanted running. He was such a poor candidate, and his policies were the same as Obama's.
I could go on and on, the moral bankruptcy of the republican party is endless. What we need is an apology from the republicans in congress. We need political leaders who can recognize that they lead us down the wrong path and will try to lead down the right path. They need to step in behind Ron Paul (who is the only one who has been faithful to our constitution) and vote how he votes - on every issue.
To be frank, I don't think it can happen. I think we are too far gone. I look forward to the day when our country splits, and those that want freedom fight for it again. When 98% of those in power are either incompetent or corrupt, it is time to break off. We have been loosing this war on freedom since the 1880's, and it is time to break union with the parasites that govern us.
Texas, I'm looking at you.
